Tanning Tips

1

PRE-TAN PLANNING

Our tanning solution contains cosmetic bronzer to give you immediate color, however, you will need to wait 8 hours after your tan before showering, sweating or coming into contact with water.

If possible, we suggest tanning the evening before an event and waiting until morning to rinse off the bronzing solution.

Make sure to schedule any manicure, pedicure, facial, waxing, or hair appointments at least 24 hours prior to your tanning session.

EXFOLIATE AND SHAVE

2

It’s extremely important to start with a fresh, hair-free layer of skin. Exfoliating will ensure a longer-lasting, more natural looking tan.

Exfoliating and shaving should be done the day before your appointment. We recommend exfoliating with a loofah or mitt rather than a scrub. Scrubs usually contain oils that can linger and interfere with the application process.

Rinse several hours before your session.

NOTE: Dove Soap is to be avoided! This soap leaves an invisable film on your skin that directly leads to a blotchy tan.

3

NO MAKEUP OR LOTION

The day of your spray tan, avoid any lotions, perfumes, or deodorants. Excess oils can prevent absorption during application.

If tanning your face, you will also want to avoid wearing makeup (minimal eye makeup is okay).

Proper skincare will directly affect your airbrush tan. Your skin must be completely clean and dry to achieve natural-looking, streak-free results.

WHAT TO WEAR

4

Plan on wearing loose, dark clothing following your tan to avoid possible smearing or smudging. No jeans or tight tops!

Please wear or bring flip flops.

Ladies: You are welcome to wear as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. We recommend a dark colored bikini or thong, however if you want to avoid tan-lines you may tan topless or nude.

Men: We ask that you wear a dark colored swimsuit, boxer briefs or speedos. We do not allow our male clients to go nude.
